Job summary

JBS Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to monitor quality and specifications for products in a meat processing facility. The role starts at $20.90 per hour and reports to the QA Supervisor, with testing, audits, and process validation to support HACCP and USDA requirements.

Applicants should have 2–4 years in food processing, familiarity with meat processing equipment, and strong communication and analytical skills. Flexibility with shifts is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of related experience in the food processing sector.
• Experience with meat processing equipment and product specifications is beneficial but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft software applications; excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Flexibility with shift start and end times.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of the QA Supervisor, become familiar with all product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Monitor production staff adherence to product specifications.
• Collaborate with production on testing protocols to meet USDA and HACCP requirements.
• Alert management of deviations from USDA regulations or HACCP requirements.
• Assist in testing and evaluating new equipment or process instructions to meet specs.
• Conduct quality audits and product quality checks; perform recalls to test safety and quality processes.
• Prepare reports recording findings and recommendations from testing.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
