Job description

Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Collect swab results and enter data into the database.
  2. Review results to ensure compliance with specifications.
  3. Provide feedback to operators and manufacturing managers regarding non-conforming products and packaging.
  4. Communicate results according to established methods.
  5. Maintain cleanliness of the assigned area following sanitation practices.
  6. Inform Quality and Production Managers of any food safety issues.
  7. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and job instructions.
  8. Take corrective actions when measures are out of specification.
  9. Document process and quality measures.
  10. Meet or exceed established targets.
  11. Follow GMPs and food safety standards such as BRC or SQF.
  12. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the workspace.
  13. Verify that all products meet customer specifications.
  14. Ensure production processes meet company and customer standards (e.g., Brix, Moisture).
  15. Perform other duties as assigned and report idle times to team leaders and managers.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in a production environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Good understanding of English.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Mathematical aptitude.
