Job summary

Supplement Logistics, a dietary supplement manufacturer in Tempe, AZ, is hiring a QA Materials Technician. The role supports cGMP-compliant lab operations, sampling of raw materials, and maintaining accurate documentation. The candidate must handle lab materials, perform inventory tasks, and assist with cleaning and maintenance to prevent contamination.

Responsibilities

• Follow all cGLP and cGMP guidelines
• Perform sampling of incoming raw materials and prepare for subsequent testing
• Perform initial quality investigations and document results in accordance with all laboratory policies, procedures, and cGMP
• Utilize pallet wrapper for any materials to be stored in upper rack space
• Stage all material for inventory in a manner that is organized and easily accessible
• Assign scanned lab documents to proper folder on the file storage server
• Update quarantine control log when new materials arrive
• Organize all finished good retention samples, includes putting away all new samples and creating storage for new products
• Disposition rejected materials as well as all finished good retention samples as required by SOPs
• Perform organoleptic testing on raw materials and document results in accordance with all laboratory policies, procedures, and cGMP
• Partake in routine and non-routine laboratory cleaning, maintenance, and documentation to prevent product contamination
• Print and apply proper labels to all units of raw materials for ease of identification per cGMP guidelines
• Perform physical inventory of all laboratory supplies on an ongoing basis
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by laboratory management

Salary/Pay: $18/hr and up depending on experience

Hours: Day shift, Monday – Friday

On-site: Tempe AZ 85284

Job Duties:

• Follow all cGLP and cGMP guidelines
• Perform sampling of incoming raw materials and prepare for subsequent testing
• Perform initial quality investigations and document results in accordance with all laboratory policies, procedures, and cGMPs
• Utilize pallet wrapper for any materials to be stored in upper rack space
• Stage all material for inventory in a manner that is organized and easily accessible
• Assign scanned lab documents to proper folder on the file storage server

• Perform distribution and allocation of raw materials for use by production
• Print and apply proper labels to all units of raw materials for ease of identification per cGMP guidelines
• Perform physical inventory of all laboratory supplies on an ongoing basis
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by laboratory management

QA Materials Technician Skills and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a cGMP environment in food or dietary supplement industries preferred
• Previous QA or QAQC experience preferred
• Superior math skills
• Experience with spreadsheet software: Excel, OpenOffice, Google Sheets, required.
• Experience with Gmail, MS Office, Microsoft Windows and Windows explorer, required
• Ability to navigate file systems to save and retrieve documents
• Team attitude, willing to help others with their tasks with the ability to work independently as required.
• Willingness to learn new methods, procedures, and processes
• Meticulous attention to detail while being able to multi-task
• Excellent written/oral communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills
• Independence and dependability with ability to take direction well, willing to ask questions
• Ability to operate fork-lift, a plus
• Ability to sit, stand and stay active for up to 8 hours a day
• Ability to lift to 70 lbs
• Ability to stoop, bend, reach or crawl as necessary
