Job summary

Element Staffing Services in Chandler, AZ is seeking an experienced QC Chemist to perform essential chemical and physical tests across raw materials, in-process blends, finished products, and stability samples. You will report to the Laboratory Manager in a cGMP environment and utilize HPLC, FTIR, and dissolution techniques to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of analytical chemistry experience, a BS in Chemistry, and strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on analytical chemistry experience in a cGMP-regulated laboratory environment preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field required.
  • Experience operating analytical instrumentation (HPLC, FTIR, dissolution, UV-Vis).
  • Strong data analysis and statistical evaluation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical and chemical testing on raw materials, final products, and process byproducts using HPLC, dissolution apparatus, FTIR, UV-Vis, and related laboratory equipment.
  • Draft, edit, and revise laboratory SOPs in line with USP monographs and AOAC guidelines.
  • Support method development initiatives and execute specialized analytical studies for process control and optimization.
  • Compile, calculate, and record testing metrics; apply statistical analyses and identify atypical data.
  • Provide comprehensive analytical support across all laboratory sections to meet quality standards.

Job description

Job Description: Element Staffing is recruiting for an experienced QC Chemist for a premier nutraceutical manufacturer in the Chandler, AZ area. Reporting directly to the Laboratory Manager, this role is responsible for executing essential chemical and physical testing across incoming raw materials, in-process blends, finished products, shelf-life stability samples, and validation protocols. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in cGMP operations, analytical instrumentation (HPLC, FTIR, Dissolution), and method development to ensure total quality compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • Analytical Testing & Instrumentation: Perform physical and chemical testing on raw materials, final products, and process byproducts using HPLC, dissolution apparatus, FTIR, UV-Vis, and related laboratory equipment.
  • Compendial Testing & SOPs: Conduct routine product testing using analytical chemistry methodologies, USP monographs, AOAC guidelines, and validated internal protocols. Draft, edit, and revise laboratory SOPs as needed.
  • Method Development & Special Studies: Support method development initiatives and execute specialized analytical studies regarding process control, source monitoring, and procedure optimization.
  • Data Analysis & Management: Compile, calculate, and record laboratory testing metrics using manual methods and computer-based data management systems. Perform statistical analyses and recognize atypical data to apply sound analytical judgment.
  • Cross-Sectional Support: Provide comprehensive analytical support across all laboratory sections to consistently meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Additional Information:

  • Years of Experience: 4+ years of hands-on analytical chemistry experience in a cGMP-regulated laboratory environment preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field required.
  • Shift/Schedule: Standard daytime hours. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends or holidays based on regulatory monitoring needs and campaign timelines.
  • Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Fast-paced laboratory setting. Must be able to work standing for extended periods, ambulate uneven surfaces/stairs, stoop, bend, squat, and lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Requirements: Proven experience operating and manipulating analytical instrumentation. Strong computer proficiency and analytical calculation skills. English language fluency required (bilingual capabilities a plus).
