Job summary

Lincoln Premium Poultry is seeking a QA/QC specialist to help ensure product quality and safety across production. You will document HACCP, SSOP and GMP programs, support USDA communications, and verify labeling and regulatory compliance.

The role requires at least 1 year in QA/QC, familiarity with food safety standards, and strong data entry skills. You will work in a team to maintain strict quality controls, assist with training, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

  • MUST have at least 1 year experience in QA/QC environment.
  • Must be familiar with food safety standards and USDA guidelines.
  • Strong ability to comprehend and follow written instructions.
  • Proficient with basic computer software (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Create and provide documentation for HACCP, SSOP, and GMP.
  • Read and follow company policies and plant product specs.
  • Coordinate with USDA and relay product status to managers.
  • Assist in training new employees and providing backup support.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (HACCP, USDA, SSOP).
  • Calculate product compliance percentages and input data for evaluations.
  • Gather products for micro testing and verify codes, ingredients, and labels.
  • Document product information and develop preventative actions for defects.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for helping to ensure product quality and safety of products produced. Communicate non-compliance issues to productionmanager or supervisor.Verify and document regulatory programs (HACCP, SSOP, GMP and product labeling).Follow and comply with company procedures and policies set by management teamandcustomer specifications.

DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and provide documentation forHACCP, SSOP, and GMP.
  • Read and follow company policies and procedures, as well as plant product specifications.
  • Work collectively with USDA and provide vital communication on product statuses to department managers and supervisors.
  • Assist in providing backup and training to new employees.
  • Ensure compliance to all regulatory standards including HACCP, USDA, SSOP’s etc.
  • Calculate product compliance percentagesand complete data entry of product evaluations.
  • Gather products for micro testing and verify code dates, ingredients, and labels.
  • Document product information and develop preventative action to combat product defects.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Skill in being a self-starter.
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
  • MUST possess a minimum of 1 year experience in a QA/QC environment, preferably in a food manufacturing setting.
  • MUST be familiar with food safety standards as well as federal, state, and USDA guidelines.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Skill in using a personal computerand various software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • MUST be a team player.
  • MUST have knowledge ofbasic math, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and calculating percentages.
  • MUST be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment ranging from 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • MUST be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes to the needs of production.
  • MUST be able to pass required physical including demonstrating your ability to lift the required weight for each position.
  • MUST be able to stand and/or walk for entire 8-hour shift.
  • MUST wear correct job specific PPE as designated by company policy.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Associate degree in Food Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
