Job summary

Brakebush Brothers, Inc. Hartwell, GA is seeking a QA Technician, 1st Shift to perform product sampling and chemical, microbiological, and physical testing. You will maintain QA records, operate basic lab equipment, and participate in training programs related to quality and food safety.

The role is nonexempt and requires ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours, complete pre-employment drug testing, and work overtime as needed. No supervisory responsibilities are included for this position.

Qualifications: Display positive attitude and team work skills. Must complete a pre-employment drug test. Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day. Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist. Must be able and available to work overtime as required.

Job Summary: Essential duties & responsibilities include the following: Conducts product sampling as well as chemical, microbiological & physical testing.

Essential Functions:

• Basic comprehension of speaking, reading & writing in English
• Can write neatly and clearly on all paper-work.
• Show basic understanding of how to use and operate a computer
• Show comprehension and knowledge retention of all Brakebush - Hartwell training programs (specifically quality and food safety).
• Can be responsible for having, maintaining and cleaning assigned tools
• Can complete all required paperwork and database entries accurately and in a timely manner.
• Can communicate to direct report when there are deviations from the process or specification.
• Show basic understanding of mathematics (addition, subtraction, percentages, multiplication and/or division).
• Have a basic understanding of quality control (acceptable vs. unacceptable).
• Can place product on Hold and complete the Hold Tag process in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
