Job summary

Native Maine Operations Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to inspect all produce deliveries and orders in the warehouse. You will administer daily QC checks, document results, and assist in staff training on QC issues.

You will perform quality control audits on outbound shipments and coordinate with management when products do not meet USDA and company standards. The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and teamwork across shifts, with safety and OSHA policy knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Good communication, organizational skills, time management and mathematical skills.
  • Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

Quality Control Job Summary:The Quality control Inspector is responsible for the inspection of all produce deliveries/orders within the warehouse to ensure that all product ordered adheres to USDA specifications/customer quality standards within the Carbonella and Desarbo operation. The ideal candidate will administer daily QC checks on all produce within the warehouse and document their inspection results. Assist with training staff on how to properly identify QC issues. Performing quality control audits on all outbound shipments. Conferring with management when product does not meet USDA/company standards which can result in scheduling USDA inspections.Schedule:Monday through Friday 12:00 PM- 8:00PM with occasionally weekend opportunitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Meet regularly with warehouse leads AM and PM and make actionable plans to reduce shipping and receiving errorsOversee and QC all orders shipping to customersEnsuring delivery deadlines and quality objectives are metExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong leadership and decision-making skills, motivation and goal-setting abilitiesStrong problem-solving skillsExceptional organization and time management abilitiesConflict resolution skillsCustomer service skillsAbility to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively between both shiftsIn-depth knowledge on OSHA Polices and ProceduresUnderstanding of relevant health and safety regulationsBilingual preferredBasic math skillsAdditional responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist in shipping and receiving responsibilities, unloading trucks and checking inmerchandise.Prepares orders by selecting specific items for a customer order, staging them ina designated area of the warehouse; may entail packing boxes or handlingproduct to remove quality issuesSort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or on pallets according toorganizational standards.Open bales, crates and other containers.Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printingrequest, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed througha computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.Prepare parcels for shipping.Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area andwork stations neat; Sweep, dust and/or mop.
