Job summary

Lactalis American Group is hiring a Quality Assurance Supervisor in Idaho. You will support QA Managers, ensuring GMPs and GSPs and driving quality across all operations.

You’ll audit procedures, assist during inspections, and collaborate with departments to maintain compliance and continuous improvement. The role requires 2–3 years’ experience in QA/QC and at least 2 years in management, with a Bachelor’s in Food/Dairy/Natural Science.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food, Dairy, or Natural Science preferred.
• 2-3 years’ experience in both Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
• 2+ Years Management experience.
• ISO quality management systems knowledge.
• HACCP knowledge and application.
• Statistical process controls related to USDA, FDA, and other agencies.
• Attention to detail and accuracy; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintain QA objectives aligned with corporate policies and goals.
• Oversee insect and rodent prevention and plant sanitation.
• Inform personnel on new or changing regulations affecting QA.
• Collaborate with management to set policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate professionalism and train staff to improve performance.
• Train and coach employees to strengthen strengths and address weaknesses.
• Perform administrative duties accurately and timely (calls, paperwork, meetings).
• Facilitate data exchange between departments to ensure quality compliance.
• Maintain open communication with staff and managers; seek improvements in labor relations.
• Perform regular plant inspections and report conditions needing improvement.

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Quality Assurance Supervisor. The Quality Assurance Supervisor assists the QA Managers to ensure compliance with both Lactalis and regulatory requirements. Responsible for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Sanitation Practices (GSPs), quality of conformity, and quality of services. Inspect and audit the operation in all phases of quality performance. Will assist the plant during inspections and audits with customers, third party, and regulatory agencies

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• . Maintains QA objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
• . Oversees insect and rodent prevention programs and follow up with plant sanitation.
• . Informs all essential personnel on new/changing regulations related to the Quality Control function within responsibility.
• . Cooperates with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.
• . Demonstrates professionalism in all aspects of plant’s rules and regulations and encourages quality personnel performance.
• . Identifies strengths and/or weaknesses of the employees and demonstrates the ability to train and coach to strengthen weaknesses and utilize strengths.
• . Performs administrative managerial duties in an accurate, timely, and professional manner (phone calls, voicemail, paperwork, meetings).
• . Works to facilitate the exchange of data between various departments and QA employees to ensure quality compliance is met.
• . Maintains open communication with all employees and managers; actively seeks ways to improve employee relations.
• . Performs daily, weekly, and monthly observations and submits written monthly plant inspections with conditions needing improvement to plant management.
• . Communicates results to production, packaging, and managers when discrepancies arise and offers solutions.

Education

• · Bachelor’s Degree in Food, Dairy, or Natural Science from a four-year college/university preferred.

Experience

• · 2-3 years’ experience in both Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
• · 2+ Years Management.

Specialized Knowledge

• · Microsoft Office Proficient; Work, Excel, Outlook
• · ISO quality management systems.

• · Statistical process regarding regulatory agencies, i.e., USDA, FDA, etc.
