Job description

Swish Analytics is a sports analytics, betting and fantasy startup building the next generation of predictive sports analytics data products. Job Description - This position is 100% Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the QA team in designing, implementing, and executing test strategies for APIs and web applications.
  2. Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API and UI testing.
  3. Establish and enforce best practices for software testing, including test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
  4. Collaborate with development teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and early detection of defects.
  5. Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  6. Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing into the development workflow.
  7. Mentor and coach QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  8. Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve product quality.
  9. Stay updated on the latest testing tools, trends, and methodologies to enhance QA processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  3. Strong experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
  4. Proficiency in test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  5. Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like K6, JMeter or Gatling.
  6. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a CI/CD environment.
  7. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.
  8. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  9. Strong leadership abilities with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with security testing and best practices.
  2. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  3. Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  4. Experience with contract testing using tools like Pact.
