Job summary

New Directions Technologies, Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist at Point Mugu, CA to ensure quality and regulatory compliance of electro-mechanical systems. You will drive root-cause analysis, coordinate repairs, and collaborate with design, manufacturing and supply chain to prevent defects.

The ideal candidate has hands-on QA experience, FAI expertise, ERP/MRP proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure in a defense-related environment.

Qualifications

  • Requires a BS degree or a HS/Tech certificate with many years of experience.
  • Experience conducting FAI and quality inspections on electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Proficient with ERP/MRP software and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct receiving inspection, coordinate repair, and acceptance, and document results.
  • Receive, initiate, and track repair orders.
  • Maintain a qualified spare parts inventory.
  • Provide status of corrective actions and prevent recurrence of nonconformance.
  • Lead communications with fleet operators on repair orders and status.
  • Coordinate internal quality audits and report QMS compliance.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to improve QA practices.
  • Maintain records of inspections, rework, and acceptance.
  • Implement inspection processes and standards.
