Job summary

Nest Veterinary seeks a QA Engineer to architect and implement a robust test suite for Flutter (web and desktop) and FastAPI/gRPC backends, ensuring high-quality, scalable releases.

You will drive API and contract testing for critical integrations, contribute to AI-assisted QA strategies, and champion production reliability through observability, visual regression testing, and close collaboration with product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting and maintaining end-to-end test suites for Flutter apps and backend APIs.
• Strong knowledge of API testing, contract tests, and data-driven QA approaches.
• Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and defect reporting workflows.

Job description

• Architect and build a robust test suite for Flutter (web + desktop) and FastAPI/gRPC backends.
• Develop contract and integration tests for critical APIs, including payments and PIMS integrations.

AI-Assisted QA:

• Use LLMs to generate test cases from PRs, specs, and code diffs, then curate output.
• Build and maintain prompt libraries and workflows for repeatable AI-assisted QA tasks.

Production Reliability:

• Own observability with a focus on error budgets, alerting, anomaly detection, and resilience testing.
• Implement visual regression testing for admin and hospital-facing UIs.

Process and Culture:

• Develop test data management strategies and defect reporting workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and support to surface quality risks early, with a customer-first mindset.
