Job summary

Blue Air Training, LLC is seeking a qualified QA Rep/Inspector in Mesa, AZ to ensure maintenance, operations, and safety activities meet quality and airworthiness standards. You will conduct inspections, audits, and evaluations, verify conformity with data, and maintain QMS compliance through documenting findings and corrective actions.

The role requires FAA A&P license, AS9110C knowledge, and the ability to read technical documents. Travel and security clearance eligibility may be required.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of AS9110C, FAA part 91 regulations and FAA Order 8130-2.
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical documents including safety rules, maintenance and other work instructions or procedure manuals.
  • Must be adaptable with the ability to listen, understand, and convey new solutions to support analysis of project performance and client satisfaction results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, audits, observations, and evaluations of aircraft, components, maintenance activities, modifications, records, and operational processes, including pre-flight, post-flight, and daily inspections.
  • Verify conformity with technical data and compliance with airworthiness, regulatory, Company, customer, and contractual quality requirements.
  • Maintain Quality Management System (QMS) compliance by documenting audit findings, tracking corrective and preventive actions, and reporting quality performance metrics to department leadership.
  • Evaluate procedural compliance and monitor production and maintenance activities to ensure personnel adhere to approved procedures, technical data, and quality standards necessary to produce airworthy products.
  • Interpret technical data, assess aircraft airworthiness, and verify aircraft and component configuration.
  • Evaluate maintenance practices and inspection records, identify recurring trends, and resolve quality and compliance issues in accordance with applicable FAA and other regulatory requirements, Company procedures, and quality standards.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS) by participating in risk assessment, risk reduction, and airworthiness safety enhancement initiatives.
  • Participate as a member of the Safety Team and support corporate safety initiatives to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Conduct or support root cause investigations and verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous quality improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, compliance, efficiency, and operational effectiveness through process improvement initiatives and trend analysis.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities, customers, and external auditors during quality assurance audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
  • May be required to provide support and assistance to other departments with maintenance, troubleshooting, and training activities as needed to support operational objectives.
  • Assist QA Manager with maintaining and improving programs such as aircraft weight and balance, FOD, newsletters and reporting, and other department programs, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Quality Assurance (QA) Representative is responsible for ensuring Top Aces maintenance, operations and safety activities are carried out to the highest standards of quality, compliance and airworthiness. The role supports continuous oversight of aircraft maintenance processes, documentation accuracy, vendor performance and operational compliance in accordance with AS9110C, internal QA programs, customer requirements and regulatory frameworks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Must demonstrate safe and healthy workplace practices.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to travel within the US and internationally.
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities of a QA Representative in daily work performance.
  • Must be eligible for US Security Clearance, if required.
  • Must be able to obtain a CAC (Common Access Card) and not be barred from any installation.
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the aviation industry, with 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Contract Compliance Inspector, required.
  • FAA A&P License, required.
  • AS9110C Auditor training course.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer.
  • Ability to work in an office environment with standard lighting, noise levels, and climate conditions.
  • This role may be performed around loud noises and hazardous chemicals with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
