Job summary

CGS Global is seeking experienced QA/QC Welding Inspectors (Level I & II) to support major semiconductor construction projects. The role ensures welded piping systems meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable industry codes.

The position offers a long-term opportunity with competitive pay and benefits, requiring AWS CWI for Level II and experience in welding inspection, QA/QC, and NDT coordination. On-site work in semiconductor construction environments is expected.

Qualifications

• Level I requires 1+ years in welding inspection, QA/QC, NDT, or related experience.
• Level II requires AWS CWI and 3+ years of welding inspection/QA/QC experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 Process Piping is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual weld inspections on carbon steel, stainless steel, and process piping systems.
• Verify compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.
• Maintain weld logs, inspection reports, and QA/QC documentation.
• Assist with weld tracking, NDT activities, and quality audits.
• Identify and document non-conforming work.

QA/QC Welding Inspector (Level I & II) - Semiconductor Construction | Long-Term Opportunity

Responsibilities

• Perform visual weld inspections
• Inspect carbon steel, stainless steel, and process piping systems
• Verify compliance with project specifications and applicable codes
• Maintain weld logs, inspection reports, and QA/QC documentation
• Assist with weld tracking, NDT activities, and quality audits
• Identify and document non-conforming work

Level I Qualifications

• 1+ years of welding inspection, QA/QC, NDT, or related experience
• Background in welding, pipefitting, fabrication, or construction trades
• Familiarity with weld procedures, drawings, and quality documentation
• AWS CAWI or related certification preferred

Level II Qualifications

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required
• 3+ years of welding inspection and QA/QC experience
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 Process Piping
• Ability to independently perform inspections and maintain quality records
• Experience with weld maps, weld logs, and inspection documentation

Preferred Experience

• Semiconductor, pharmaceutical, refinery, chemical, or industrial construction
• Carbon steel, stainless steel, and plastic piping systems
• GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW welding processes
• NDT coordination and quality control programs
