Job summary

Structure Tone Southwest in Dallas, TX is hiring a QA/QC Manager to ensure construction activities meet project specifications, codes, and client requirements. You will lead PQP/ITPs, inspect works, coordinate testing, and drive continuous quality improvements.

The role requires a civil/structural background, 5+ years in QA/QC, strong standards knowledge, and excellent communication. This on‑site position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to project timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Certification in QA/QC (e.g., ISO 9001, CSWIP, AWS, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (ASTM, BS, ACI, ISO, etc.).
• Understands building codes and reads blueprints accurately.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (Basic Spanish preferred).
• Good finish carpentry skills for commercial interiors; finishes to spec as needed.
• Good administrative skills: progress coordination; inform team of progress/problems.
• Strong management skills to supervise subordinates and follow up on tasks.
• Maintains professional integrity and ethical standards; proactive problem solving.
• Team player with collaborative spirit; helps coworkers, clients, subs achieve goals.
• Proficient with office equipment; spreadsheet and word processing.
• CMiC knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Ensure construction works comply with drawings, specs, and codes.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor ongoing works for quality.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and third‑party inspectors.
• Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.
• Ensure QC procedures for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works are followed.
• Identify NCRs, propose corrective actions, and verify closures.
• Monitor testing activities (concrete, soil, welding, NDT) and review test reports.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and as-build docs.
• Conduct internal audits and assist in external audits as required.
• Promote quality awareness on site via training and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with construction teams to resolve issues without delaying schedules.
