Job summary

CRM Blast & Paint, a subsidiary of The HR Group, is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager in Prague, OK to lead quality assurance across industrial coatings projects. You will own inspection standards, documentation, non-conformance processes, and drive the QMS forward while ensuring SSPC QP1/QP2 readiness.

Training field crews and mentoring staff are key parts of the role. Applicants should have years of coatings inspection experience, SSPC/AMPP knowledge, travel ability, and a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in industrial coatings inspection, surface preparation, or related field.
• Working knowledge of SSPC/AMPP coating and surface prep standards.
• Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform surface preparation and coating inspections per SSPC/AMPP standards and project specs.
• Conduct pre-job, in-process, and final inspections (surface profile, environmental conditions, WFT/DFT, holiday testing, adhesion).
• Verify coatings, batch/lot numbers, and mix ratios against manufacturer data sheets.
• Maintain QC documentation and inspection reports across projects.
• Identify non-conformances; lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Own and improve the QMS; ensure readiness for SSPC QP1/QP2.
• Develop and deliver QA/QC training programs for field crews.
• Coach field personnel on QA/QC practices during job-sites.
• Calibrate inspection instruments per requirements and coordinate with project teams.
• Report quality metrics and program status to leadership.
