Job summary

IEA Constructors is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to oversee quality assurance and control across construction sites. The role requires extensive travel to project locations and on-site inspections to verify compliance with design and the quality control manual.

Responsibilities include training field staff, managing data from inventory systems, and coordinating with engineers, concrete suppliers, testing labs, and vendors to resolve non-conformances and maintain project quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level or higher in a relevant field or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year in construction or renewable energy settings preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Manage data from inventory tracking system.
• Implement and train site quality/Field staff in the process and procedures.
• Provide on site inspection and documentation to ensure that all construction is completed in accordance with the design and quality control manual developed by the manufacturer as well as IEA's Field Quality Control Plan.
• Have the ability to deal on a daily bases with project management, engineers, concrete supplier and concrete testing labs, solar module, inverter and combiner box, steel and turbine manufactures concerning various site issues, inconsistencies and non conformances
• Direct and train skilled labor in various procedures
• Capable of reading and understanding shop drawings, mix designs, geotechnical reports, manuals, and engineered drawings.
• Knowledge of reinforcement and concrete placement, product testing, module installation processes, and civil construction processes
• Liaison with Client, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers and/or internal departments on quality related matters.
• And various duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager & Director
