Job summary

MasTec, Inc. seeks a Site Quality Assurance/Quality Control professional for the US-Indiana Redkey project. You will oversee construction QC, inspect work, and train field staff to adhere to the quality control manual and design specifications.

Travel is a requirement; you will coordinate with project management, engineers, suppliers and regulators to resolve non-conformances and ensure compliant, safe installation of civil, concrete, and solar-related components on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience in construction QC.
• At least 1 year in construction or renewable energy; management experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• On-site inspection and documentation to ensure construction aligns with QC plans.
• Train site staff on processes and procedures.
• Coordinate with PM, engineers, suppliers on quality issues and non-conformances.
• Read shop drawings, geotechnical reports, and engineered drawings.
• Liaise with client, regulatory agencies, subcontractors and vendors on quality matters.

Overview

This individual is responsible for technical quality assurance and quality control in all phases of construction at a project site. Travel is a requirement of this position.

Responsibilities

• Manage data from inventory tracking system.
• Implement and train site quality/Field staff in the process and procedures.
• Provide on site inspection and documentation to ensure that all construction is completed in accordance with the design and quality control manual developed by the manufacturer as well as IEA's Field Quality Control Plan.
• Have the ability to deal on a daily bases with project management, engineers, concrete supplier and concrete testing labs, solar module, inverter and combiner box, steel and turbine manufactures concerning various site issues, inconsistencies and non conformances
• Direct and train skilled labor in various procedures
• Capable of reading and understanding shop drawings, mix designs, geotechnical reports, manuals, and engineered drawings.
• Knowledge of reinforcement and concrete placement, product testing, module installation processes, and civil construction processes
• Liaison with Client, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers and/or internal departments on quality related matters.
• And various duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager & Director

Qualifications

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience in construction management or quality control
• Minimum of 1 year in construction or renewable energy is preferred or management
• Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
