Job summary

Hermanson Company is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Engineer to ensure piping systems, mechanical HVAC units, and components meet quality and safety standards throughout fabrication and installation.

The role involves inspections, testing, reviewing drawings, coordinating 3rd party inspections, and maintaining records. A Bachelor's degree in CM/ME or related field and CWI certification are preferred; strong teamwork and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality control or inspection in construction, especially mechanical systems.
• WS/CWI certification or training in quality control or related field is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of construction codes, standards, and pipe/line drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in quality inspections to verify compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Review technical drawings, perform dimensional checks, and assess weld quality.
• Schedule 3rd party inspections and maintain inspection records.
• Collaborate with QA/QC manager, field crews, and subcontractors on issues.
• Promote safety-first culture and monitor adherence to regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in the inspection process.
