Job summary

Cloud Analytics Technologies, LLC in San Jose, CA seeks an experienced QA Engineer Leader to design and drive test automation for cloud-based applications and distributed systems. You will mentor teams and develop strategies ensuring quality across CI/CD pipelines using Python, Selenium, Jenkins, Git, and OSS frameworks.

Candidates should have 5+ years testing cloud apps, strong networking knowledge, and a track record of scalable automation in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience testing cloud applications, distributed and networking systems in virtualized/on-prem environments.
• Experience developing and architecting Test Automation frameworks for cloud-based applications.
• Hands-on automation with Python and UI automation with Selenium; CI/CD with Git, Jenkins, and OSS frameworks.
• Ability to design test strategies, plans, and cases and execute comprehensive test cycles.
• Leadership capability in an Agile/Scrum environment and independent quality initiatives.
• Deep networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs) and cloud networking concepts.
• Experience with DevOps/test infrastructure tools (Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, JIRA, Terraform, Ansible).

Responsibilities

Job description

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in testing cloud applications, distributed systems, and networking systems in virtualized and on-prem environments.
• Extensive experience in developing and architecting Test Automation frameworks and infrastructure, specifically for cloud-based applications.
• Strong hands‑on experience in automation using Python, UI automation with Selenium, and working in CI/CD environments with tools like Git, Jenkins, and third‑party Open‑Source Test Frameworks.
• Proven ability to break down complex cloud architectures, create detailed test strategies, test plans, and test cases, and execute comprehensive test cycles.
• Strong motivation to leadand mentor in an Agile/Scrum environment, with the ability to work independently and drive quality initiatives.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and cloud networking concepts.
• Experience with DevOps andtest infrastructure tools such as Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, JIRA, Terraform, and Ansible.

Preferred Experience:

• Proven experience leading QA efforts in highly technical teams employing Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Expertise in Test Automation, Performance & Scale Testing, Simulation Testing, and related frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization/virtualization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, ESXi, Xen.
• Strong knowledge of observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack for monitoring, logging, and reporting.
• Experience integrating AI/ML‑driven testing and utilizing tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance automation.

Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Engineer, or CCNA are a plus.
