Matlen Silver is seeking a Quality Engineer to support production and assembly operations in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong quality background, hands-on RCA, and the ability to troubleshoot issues to maintain product quality in a regulated environment.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams and drive day-to-day improvements while working 100% onsite in Portage, MI on a 12-month contract.

Formación

• Engineering degree or closely related technical degree.
• Experience in Quality Engineering, QA, Manufacturing Quality, Production Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing industries preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting production, manufacturing, assembly or production operations.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite, Monday–Friday.
• Ability to commit to a 12-month contract.

Responsabilidades

Job Title: Quality Engineer (Manufacturing /Automotive/Medical background)

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Portage, MI

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite, Monday–Friday

Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support production and assembly operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong quality background, hands‑on experience supporting production, and the ability to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quality professional to work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality teams while contributing to day‑to‑day operations and continuous improvement.

Desired Skills

• Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
• CAPA and non‑conformance experience.
• Quality improvement / continuous improvement experience.
• Supplier or customer quality experience.
• Experience working closely with Engineering and Production teams.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Quick learner with a hands‑on, team‑oriented approach.
