Job Summary
QA Manual – Maintenance Lead with leadership experience and a strong understanding of the insurance domain with Guidewire experience to lead a small team of QA professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Guidewire Applications and customer portals. You will drive testing strategies, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet regulatory and business standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Hands‑on experience in Guidewire Policy Center, Billing Center, vendor integrations.
- Lead and mentor a small QA team working across multiple tracks of Guidewire applications.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for all Guidewire applications and associated digital platform.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as HIPAA and state‑specific insurance laws.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Developers to understand insurance workflows and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Track and report defects, testing progress, and quality metrics using tools like JIRA XRay.
- Conduct regular team meetings with offshore QA members to gather status updates, concerns, identify blockers, and elevate issues to Technical Program Managers during scrum ceremonies.
- Participate in release planning and ensure QA deliverables are aligned with project timelines and business goals.
- Advocate for quality assurance best practices and continuous improvement across the SDLC.
- Be available for meetings across all time zones to support global teams.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Insurance domain knowledge.
- Proficiency with test management tools: JIRA XRay for managing test cases, executions, and traceability.
- Confluence and SharePoint knowledge.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments – ability to work in iterative development cycles and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- ISTQB Foundation level or domain‑specific certifications.
- Experience with API testing and data validation.
- Skilled in effectively planning and prioritizing work activities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of testing Guidewire applications.
- Advanced knowledge of the full software testing life‑cycle.
- Property and Casualty insurance domain knowledge.
- Experience in leading a QA team of three or more.

Salary
Starting at $115,000 annually. Candidate's skills, experience, and abilities will be taken into consideration for the final offer.
