Job summary

DECKED in Defiance, Ohio is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to establish and enforce quality standards across manufacturing operations from assembly to finish. You will lead a zero-defect culture on the shop floor and drive process controls, audits, and corrective actions.

The role requires 5+ years QA leadership in automotive or heavy manufacturing, knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, and SPC, and the ability to mentor a diverse team while partnering with engineering and operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 standards.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains line-specific control plans and quality procedures.
• Validates manufacturing processes and conducts 100% water-leak and seal integrity testing.
• Leads 8D/5-Why investigations to improve FPY and reduce waste.
• Performs LPAs and line-side checks to track scrap and defects.
• Drives containment and coaching to ensure zero-defect culture.
