Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is seeking a QA Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the laboratory Quality System. You will train staff, maintain quality documentation, manage proficiency testing, and conduct internal and external audits to protect data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemistry/Sciences required.
• Minimum 5 years bench level analytical experience plus formal QA training or 2 years QA experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English (read, write and speak).

Responsibilities

• Review Eurofins Environment Testing America’s QMP and ensure compliance with the Quality System.
• Develop and implement the QAM.
• Participate as a member of the laboratory’s senior management team.
• Act as QA representative in client meetings, regulatory meetings, and forums for regulation changes.
• Act as technical resource and final authority in matters of data quality.
• Focal point for ethics and data integrity issues.
• Conduct QA training courses; conduct ethics training at least quarterly when new employees are hired.
• Evaluate training program effectiveness.
• Perform system audits, write audit reports, approve audit responses.
• Perform data audits and special audits as needed.
• Respond to external audits by clients and regulators.
• Assist in annual Management Review of the Quality System.
• Assist in QA project plans, and QC specifications in contracts and proposals.
• Maintain laboratory certifications.
• Manage PT sample scheduling, ordering, login, and reporting.
• Monitor new regulations and ensure compliance with current requirements.
• Review and approve SOPs; write SOPs as needed.
• Maintain historical indices of technical records.
• Assist in identification of systematic problems and perform root cause analyses.
• Track revised reports and identify improvements to minimize errors.
• Track customer complaints and identify improvements.
• Oversee MDL studies and verifications.
• Generate and submit monthly QA reports.
• Participate in QA conference calls.
• Oversee control charts and reference tables updates.
• Calibrate laboratory support equipment as needed.
• Assist other laboratories as required.
