Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior QA leader in Mountain View to guide the QA organization across software and hardware domains. You will drive test strategy, automate critical mobile app tests, and oversee cross-functional collaboration with product and hardware teams.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in QA, 3+ years in management, and a strong SDLC background. Travel for on-site testing at global facilities is required, with a focus on regulatory compliance and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.

• Deep understanding of the SDLC.
• Proven track record leading QA teams and managing comprehensive testing strategies for software and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team and foster their professional growth.

• Report QA metrics, progress, and team performance to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage QA test plans and travel to on-site testing at facilities in Japan, Ohio, and Los Angeles.
• Manage QA processes, test planning, and test automation for mobile apps on iOS and Android across APIs and automotive hardware.

• Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance protocols and strategies to ensure quality meets international and internal standards
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and tooling, including resilient automated testing and simulated/mock dependencies
• Oversee the design, creation, and review of test cases and ensure they are comprehensive and align with product specifications
• Collaborate closely with product development teams to understand and review product specifications and requirements, ensuring QA processes are aligned with objectives

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
• 3+ years in a QA management role
