Job summary

High Liner Foods (USA), Inc. in Newport News, VA seeks a QA Manager to oversee programs for packaging, ingredients, product and process inspection in line with QMP/QMPi and GMPs. The role includes communicating results to Production, suppliers and customers, and leading QA investigations and audits.

You will supervise QA staff, steer root cause analyses, support continuous improvement, and participate in cross-functional teams to uphold safety and quality culture across the site.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or higher in food science or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in QA/QC management preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a team setting and lead corrective actions.
• Knowledge of food regulations, HACCP, GMPs and SOPs.
• Familiarity with regulatory, third party, and customer audits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee packaging, ingredient, product and process inspection programs per regulations and corporate standards.
• Communicate results to Production, suppliers and customers; include microbiological, physical and chemical data.
• Assist production management with investigations of quality-related problems.
• Provide technical support for customer complaints investigations.
• Lead and participate in sensory evaluation of materials and products.
• Supervise QA staff and direct daily duties.
