Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a QA Lead to oversee daily QA activities and supervise Laboratory Technicians. You will implement and train others on total quality management practices, focusing on post-process evaluations and compliance with HACCP and GMP standards.

The role involves coordinating sample collection, data entry, reporting, and collaboration with R&D to ensure accurate product specifications. A strong emphasis on teamwork and continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years quality assurance or quality control experience.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Gmail.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and plant GMPs.

Responsibilities

• Trains and oversees QA staff under the Quality Assurance Manager, providing oversight and guidance to technicians.
• Performs in-plant analysis and audits of production/quality records as directed by the Quality Manager.
• Collects samples for product deviation evaluation and the incubation program, and for external lab analysis.
• Inputs QA data and results into the system; creates reports for other departments.
• Conducts routine post-process evaluations, calibrations, and data entry across databases.
• Participates in team activities and supports continuous improvements within QA processes.
