Matern Staffing is hiring a QA Lead for a global food manufacturer in Stafford, VA. You’ll use your production experience and leadership skills to support and lead employees in the efficient, safe, and quality preparation of foods.

QA Lead responsibilities include leading sanitation, records, GMPs/USDA/HACCP, and collaboration with QA Techs to resolve issues. The role requires comfort with a cold environment and strong communication.

Formación

• Experience with food safety requirements, GMPs, USDA, HACCP.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong math and computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels of an organization.
• Positive self-starter with adaptability.
• Strong time management and prioritization with proactive problem resolution.
• Ability to withstand a cold work environment.

Responsabilidades

• Trains and leads employees across shifts about proper sanitation, food handling, testing, and labeling.
• Records and tracks food quality assurance records.
• Follows and enforces GMPs and food safety, USDA, HACCP, SSOP.
• Collaborates with QA Techs and Supervisor about preventative or corrective solutions.
• Ensures a streamlined and safety conscious movement of ingredients and finished products throughout the production areas.

• $23/hr

Schedule:

• First Shift: Tuesday-Saturday, starting at 4:45 AM

What You'll Do:

• Trains and leads employees across shifts about proper sanitation, food handling, testing, and labeling
• Records and tracks food quality assurance records
• Follows and enforces GMPs and food safety, USDA, HACCP, SSOP
• Collaborates with QA Techs and Supervisor about preventative or corrective solutions
• Ensures a streamlined and safety conscious movement of ingredients and finished products throughout the production areas

What You'll Need:

• Previous experience and knowledge of food safety requirements, GMPs, USDA, HACCP
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Strong math and computer skills
• Exceptional verbal and written skills for collaborating effectively with individuals across all levels of an organization
• Positive self-starter who calmly and effectively adapts to situations
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with a track record of proactive problem resolution
• Ability to withstand a cold work environment
