Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Project Test Manager to lead testing across large or multiple medium-scale projects. You will work with Technology, Business and QA leads to ensure production readiness and traceability throughout the development lifecycle.

The role requires 8+ years in testing, strong Java/Selenium automation, and experience with Agile/Waterfall methodologies. You will drive test planning, data creation, script execution and defect management in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Location: Hybrid out of Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX

Required Pay Scale: $55 - 60hr W2

***Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC or GC candidates***

Responsibilities

• Responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes, with 8+ years of experience.
• Ensures software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements through comprehensive testing.
• Expert in conditioning and generating test data, building and executing both manual and automated test suites, communicating test results, and assisting with defect triage.
• Leads test planning and case reviews, collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure thorough test coverage.
• Creates and manages traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Utilizes testing tools and processes to complete testing and support code promotion.
• Maintains and catalogs test suites across all test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.).
• Proven Experience in UI and API test automation with Java using Selenium, Rest Assured.
• Have handled Jenkins along with GitHub/BitBucket.
• Implements and maintains test automation frameworks, identifies automation opportunities, and develops test automation for applicable test types.
• Executes manual and automated tests, reports issues and defects with clear background information.
• Experienced in Agile methodologies, actively participates in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Individual contributor with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

The Project Test Manager (PTM):

• Is the single point of contact leading testing for large or multiple medium scale projects sponsored by I&BST Tech Executives.
• Is a member of the Core Project Team working directly with Technology, Business and QA Leads and Managers.
• Manages all testing efforts to ensure Production Readiness.
• Is accountable and participates in all phases of testing deliverables (planning, data, testing goals, script creation, script execution, traceability, defect management, implementation support).
• Is responsible for projects adherence to all Enterprise Testing Standards.
