Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. is seeking a QA Lab Technician at our USA facility in Canaan, Connecticut. You will conduct internal audits, verify corrective actions, track non-conformances, and prepare Certificates of Analysis, supporting production quality.

The role requires a High School diploma with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently and with others. Overtime eligible with quarterly incentives and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and with others.
• Ability to complete testing, inspections, documentation, and data entry accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal auditing (formal processes and random auditing).
• Verify effectiveness of corrective actions from nonconformances.
• Trace product non-conformance and coordinate internal/external communication.
• Document and coordinate supplier corrective actions.
• Collect and analyze QA data from plant trials.
• Input and maintain EtQ documents and databases.
• Substitute/backup lab technician and scale operator duties (tests on powder/steel/limestone, record data, generate Certificates of Analysis, weigh trucks, track overloads, inspect trucks, handle customer sample requests, calibrate equipment).
• Other duties as assigned.
