Job summary

Rembrandt Foods in Iowa is seeking a QA Tech I to coordinate sampling, analyze data, and report laboratory results to support SQF certification at the plant.

You will maintain lab cleanliness, uphold QA programs, generate Certificates of Analysis, manage test data, and assist with training while following safety and quality procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook; associates degree or QA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in QA and data handling.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate verbally and in writing.
• Public relations skills and phone etiquette.
• Independent self-starter with good teamwork.
• Problem solving: define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
• Proficient computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet.

• Experience in quality environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outside lab testing and customer samples.
• Maintain cleanliness of lab: clean, sweep and other housekeeping requirements.
• Maintain quality assurance laboratory programs and good laboratory practices.
• Becomes proficient and perform laboratory test methods.
• Maintain test result databases.
• Tracksupply inventory.
• Assist with employee training.
• Follows preventative maintenance schedule for calibration and cleaning of lab equipment and environment.
• Collects data, analyzes, compiles, distributes and presents reports as needed.
• Reports and takes necessary action to prevent/control food safety and food quality risks.
• Follows, verifies, and takes appropriate actions to ensure the integrity & sustained certification of the SQF System.
• Generates Certificates of Analysis for customers.
• Creates and reviews procedures for laboratory.
• Performs shelf life studies on finished product.
• Completes training and provides support for other Quality positions within the organization.
• Creates PO requests for laboratory supplies and services.
