Job summary

Wasatch Labs in Draper, UT is seeking a Quality Assurance/ Laboratory Technician to develop and perform QA processes in alignment with Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practice. The role includes performing lab QC tests, calibrating equipment, and preparing samples for shipment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a food manufacturing lab, ability to train on various instruments, and strong communication skills to support data reporting and management oversight.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ laboratory experience in food manufacturing environment, QA, GLP and GMP.
  • Able to prioritize tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality.
  • Willing to meet on-call obligations as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to train and learn lab instruments for physical, microbiological, and analytical testing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control tests in the lab and on-site when necessary.
  • Assist with testing and calibrating lab equipment.
  • Perform quality control tests on ingredients, completed products and product samples.
  • Prepare samples prior to shipping them to customers.
