Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Intern to join our team developing enterprise technologies for Navy and military communities.

This paid internship offers hands-on QA work in an agile environment while you study toward a degree in computer science. As an intern you will collaborate with developers and engineers to design and execute manual and automated tests, review requirements and design documents, and help build robust test

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• Some knowledge of agile development methods.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in small team settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute manual and automated testing.
• Define a testing vision and plan aligned with stakeholder goals and feedback.
• Review requirements, specs, and technical design documents to create test cases.
• Support code reviews and ensure adequate unit, regression, and system tests.
• Identify, record findings and prepare reports.
