Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Mount Holly Springs is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform regular QA assessments of raw materials, in-process and finished assemblies to ensure conformance to standards. You will read drawings, document inspection results, interact with customers and coworkers, and support continuous quality improvements.

The position offers a 2nd shift (3:30 PM–12:00 AM) with a 10% differential, and benefits starting Day 1. No travel required; U.S. export controls apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs regular quality assessments of raw materials, in process or finished assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance to quality standards.
• Verify conformance to applicable procedures and other approved documents.
• Provide acceptance or rejection for compliance to established standards and processes.
• Documents inspection results by completing logs, summarizes re-work and scrap, and inputs data into quality database.
• Read internal documentation, assembly drawings, customer specifications, military, and industry standards to understand the requirements of products and services.
• Interact effectively and professionally with all customers and coworkers.
• Review quality concerns and production team to improve product quality.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
• Willing to be trained more on the following areas: inspection techniques, quality methodologies, and use of inspection apparatus and testing equipment.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
