Job summary

Copper State Bolt & Nut Co. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Testing Inspector to join our Manufacturing Team. This role performs inspections, testing, and quality audits to ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards, supporting production and product integrity.

The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing quality inspection, can read work instructions, use calipers and gauges, and maintain accurate documentation. Safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing quality inspection experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and inspection procedures.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a production environment.
  • Experience in machining, fastener manufacturing, or metal manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, gauges, scales, and other inspection equipment.
  • Monitor production processes and communicate required adjustments or corrective actions when non-conforming product is identified.
  • Work closely with machinists and production personnel to maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Document inspection results, test data, and quality records accurately.
  • Support lot traceability and maintain inspection documentation.
  • Verify calibration and proper use of inspection equipment.
  • Assist with audits, quality procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are properly set up and operating within quality requirements.
  • Identify and report quality concerns, equipment issues, and safety hazards.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing guidelines.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during an 8+ hour shift
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and production noise
