Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Software Quality Engineering Manager for Instructional Products in Cupertino. You will own quality strategy for client apps across macOS, iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS, pairing AI-driven QA with human oversight to ship high-quality features.

You will lead a team, build automated testing and CI/CD gates, and drive risk-based decisions with data. This role emphasizes quality from concept through release and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional work experience in software QA, including 4+ years managing or leading quality engineering teams.
• Hands-on engineering ability to build test tooling and review systems-level code.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD and automated QA in agile environments.
• Ability to scope, schedule, and resource multiple complex projects with partners.
• Experience with client/server architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own quality strategy throughout the product lifecycle (concept → release).
• Define and execute AI-driven QA plans and verification processes.
• Build and own automated test infrastructure: CI/CD gates, regression suites, end-to-end coverage.
• Define test strategy and release-readiness criteria for high-risk launches.
• Lead failure analysis and root-cause investigations with risk mitigation.
• Communicate quality status to stakeholders using data-driven metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve issues and improve robustness.
• Grow and mentor engineers in quality thinking and best practices.
