Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineering Advisor to join the Corporate Quality team in Reston/Herndon. You will author Quality Management Plans, review SLAs, and guide proposal quality across the bid lifecycle.

Lead cross-functional teams, align with capture managers and SMEs, and ensure proposals meet customer expectations while remaining compliant with standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years’ experience in Program Management, Systems Engineering or Mission/Quality Assurance, or 3+ years with a Masters.
• 9+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience in proposal development, technical writing, and quality assurance in government or commercial settings.
• Experience authoring Quality Management Plans or similar quality documentation.
• Strong analytical and editorial skills with attention to detail.
• Experience reviewing SLAs and performance-based contract language; familiarity with FAR.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain Quality Management Plans and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans for proposals and contracts.
• Define quality objectives, standards, metrics, and corrective actions for programs.
• Develop and revise quality plans as scope or requirements change.
• Review SLAs to ensure contractual alignment and feasibility of metrics.
• Support KPI development and reporting tied to SLA commitments.
• Collaborate with SMEs, capture/proposal teams, and program managers to improve proposals.
• Lead color team reviews and maintain document version control.
