Job summary

Delta Dental of California is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure the usability and performance of products, services, and systems. You will craft comprehensive test plans, automate where possible, and participate in sprint ceremonies to uphold quality standards.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of QA experience, strong API testing skills with Postman or SoapUI, and hands-on automation with Selenium/TestNG/JUnit in a CI/CD environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of QA experience with a BA or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of QA principles and SDLC/Agile
• Experience in software test automation (functional/performance)
• Hands-on with test automation frameworks and tools
• Experience testing APIs using Postman or SoapUI

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and provide feedback
• Create detailed, structured test plans and cases
• Prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Create and execute test cases and automation scripts
• Identify and document defects thoroughly
• Perform regression testing
• Apply test standards and processes (SDLC, Agile)
• Investigate the causes of routine defects and document them
• Track QA metrics and create test summary reports
• Installs, configures and maintains testing programs
• Ensure integration with CI/CD pipelines
