Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is seeking a Software QA Engineer (Contract) to join PlayStation's global testing initiative, designing and implementing test automation across UI, API, and backend systems.

You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure high quality for millions of users, build scalable automation frameworks, and contribute to CI/CD and quality gates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/engineering.
• 5+ years in software testing with test plan execution.
• 3+ years building automated tests for web, mobile, APIs, or backend services.
• Proficient in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience testing REST APIs and contract testing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test strategies across UI, API, and backend.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to set test coverage.
• Build, maintain, and scale automation frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Improve testing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze results, identify root causes, and drive fixes.
