Role Title

QA Engineer (Smart Grid & DERMS)

Core Responsibilities

• Electricity Distribution business
• DERMS, ADMS & SCADA for North American utilities
• Implementation Lifecycle experience
• Business Requirements Gathering

Key Technical Expertise

• Working experience with electrical utility on their DERMS product
• Understanding of overall DERMS architecture and use cases:
  • Customer Connection Options: Solar, EV, ES – to reduce interconnection time, cost & capacity challenges
  • Monitoring and Dispatch Control: FTM, VPP, Demand Response, Microgrid etc.
  • FERC 2222 Compliance and ISO-DSO Support: Aggregation Registration Management, Operational Coordination
  • Grid Services – to allow DER to support system and local needs for reliability and resiliency: NWA, Smart Inverter Functions Management, Abnormal System Conditions
• Testing experience in DERMS (mandatory)

Additional Skills

• Experience with AspenTech OSII DERMS product (advantage)
• Ability to work with Business Stakeholders and develop testing deliverables: Testing Strategy, test plans, test executions, defect management
• Hands‑on experience with functional, integration, regression, cross‑platform, component, performance testing
• Experience with JIRA
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Experience in writing test scripts
