Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a QA Engineer to join the Engineering department. You will work on a small, agile team delivering highly scalable software systems and ensuring high-quality code through rigorous testing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include planning test scenarios, maintaining test environments, and communicating defects clearly. The role requires 3+ years in software testing and experience with Salesforce CPQ and SQL, with a note that candidates may reside anywhere

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Computer Science or relevant professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting commercial software applications.
• Experience with Salesforce CPQ.
• Relational SQL skills with the ability to execute DML to support testing activities.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in a collaborative development team with the opportunity to influence product direction.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize test cases and test plans.
• Serve as an independent reviewer of test plans to deliver reliable, efficient software systems.
• Set up and manage test environments to simulate real-world scenarios and validate customer configurations before release.
• Record and communicate software defects with clear, actionable detail to support timely fixes.
• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve quality management system processes and procedures.
• Perform computer system setup, software installation and configuration, and peripheral equipment installation and integration.
• Install new and upgraded hardware and software (e.g. servers, cameras, and other devices).
