Job summary

Wagstaff Applied Technologies is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support quality policies and procedures across a highly regulated manufacturing environment. The role involves interpreting customer contracts, managing nonconforming products, and driving corrective/preventive actions with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with 5+ years QA experience in manufacturing.
• AS 9100, ASME NQA-1 or equivalent QMS knowledge.
• Experience interpreting government or regulated contracts.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and design specifications.
• Knowledge of inspection gauges and gauging practices.
• Familiarity with welding, NDE, CNC milling/turning processes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and document management software.
• Formal training in corrective action and problem-solving preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers to develop project-specific inspection plans compliant with contract requirements.
• Develop project-wide quality systems, inspection and test plans.
• Coordinate inspection planning with Manufacturing Engineering and Demand Management.
• Document inspection control plans with cross-functional teams.
• Introduce enhancements to the quality management system to improve product quality.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve process and product quality issues.
• Maintain records for quality system activities.
• Lead company-wide product quality planning and documentation efforts.
• Interface with suppliers and internal teams during new product development.
