Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Junior QA Engineer (SDET - Automation) for an onsite role in Orlando, FL. You will join the Quality Engineering team to test and automate Point of Sale applications, building expertise in retail tech, automation frameworks, and modern QA practices.

Role focuses on developing manual and automated test scripts, collaborating with Agile teams, and contributing to CI/CD integration. Strong programming foundation and eagerness to learn POS testing are essential.

Qualifications

Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript) or similar.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Interest in learning POS testing and automation.
Fundamental software testing concepts.
Experience with POS testing, manual or automated.
Exposure to API, mobile, or automation testing.
Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Maven, JIRA and QMetry.
Knowledge of debugging tools such as Charles Proxy or Fiddler.

Responsibilities

Understand business and functional requirements.
Create test cases and test scenarios.
Develop and execute manual and automated test scripts.
Perform testing across QA, STG, and other environments; report and track defects.
Assist in CI/CD pipeline integration for automation scripts.
Maintain test documentation and execution reports; collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams.
