Job summary

Komatsu Mining Technology Solutions seeks a QA Engineer I to support the Product Development team with software QA, develop unit tests, automation tests, simulation tools, and test plans to ensure high product quality. Analyze, decompose large software systems, and design test strategies using system design knowledge.

This position may be based in either Tucson or Phoenix, Arizona. Travel up to 25% is required, and you will collaborate with QA and software engineering teams to improve testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field with emphasis on software QA.
• Experience with requirements management, quality control, and configuration management.
• Understanding of networking protocols and both wired and wireless networks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent planning and communication.

Responsibilities

• Participates in test planning and risk-based testing.
• Develops and maintains test cases and data for verifying quality.
• Develops plans to identify and mitigate technical risks.
• Executes manual and automated tests and reports pass/fail results against quality plan.
• Continuously monitors and improves testing methodologies.
