Techila Global is seeking a skilled QA Engineer (Functional) to own the end-to-end functional quality of our web and Salesforce-based applications. The role involves understanding business requirements, designing thorough test coverage, and coordinating with developers, BAs and business users to ensure smooth releases.

The successful candidate will have 3–9 years of hands-on testing experience, strong SQL skills for backend validation, and familiarity with Jira and test management tools.

The ideal candidate will understand business requirements deeply, design thorough test coverage, execute and manage testing across sprints and releases, and work closely with developers, business analysts and business users to ensure defects are caught early and releases go live smoothly. Your Impact: • Analyze business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, and identify gaps or ambiguities early • Prepare test strategy, test plans, test scenarios and detailed test cases, and maintain a requirement traceability matrix (RTM) • Perform functional, system, integration, smoke, sanity and regression testing for every sprint and release • Validate end-to-end business flows across integrated systems, including data checks using SQL queries • Log defects in JIRA with clear steps, evidence and severity, take part in defect triage and retest fixes • Prepare and manage test data and test environments, and coordinate with developers and DevOps for builds • Lead UAT support, including walkthroughs with business users, issue tracking and sign-off • Share test execution status, defect reports and release readiness summaries with project stakeholders • Guide junior testers and contribute to improving QA processes and documentation Technical Competency: • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in manual and functional testing of web or enterprise applications • Strong command of the software testing life cycle (STLC), test design techniques and defect life cycle • Experience writing and maintaining test plans, test cases and test reports • Hands-on experience with JIRA (and a test management tool such as Zephyr, Xray or TestRail) for test and defect tracking • Good SQL skills for backend data validation • Working knowledge of API testing using Postman, including basic request/response validation • Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, including sprint planning and release testing Functional Competency: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field (or equivalent experience) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain defects clearly to developers and business users • Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet release deadlines • Comfortable working with distributed teams and clients across time zones Good to Have: • Experience testing Salesforce applications (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud or Marketing Cloud) • Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium, even at a basic level • ISTQB or similar testing certification • Experience in life sciences or other regulated domainAt a GlanceWork ModeRemoteEmploymentFull-timeExperience3–9 yrsOpenings2DeadlineNov 14, 2026[ Hiring process ]What to expectFour stages, typically completed within 2–3 weeks.
