Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a QA Engineer for our Bangalore, India team to plan and execute functional, system, integration, and security testing of the SSAS monitoring solution. You will validate SQL Server models, ALETL parsing, DMV collectors and Power BI reports while ensuring data reconciliation and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes regression testing, data validation, and end-to-end coverage, with responsibilities spanning test planning, defect management, UAT support

Qualifications

• Experience with functional, system, integration, security, end-to-end and regression testing.
• Strong SQL Server and data-reconciliation skills.
• Knowledge of data-model testing including source-to-target, history and snapshot testing.
• Knowledge of SSAS Multidimensional, DMV and Extended Events concepts.
• ALETL parsing, event correlation and validation of outcomes.
• Testing of incremental ingestion and data-collection processes.
• Validation of derived metrics, baselines and thresholds.
• Experience with Power BI KPI, DAX, filtering and visual testing.
• Testing for least-privilege, service accounts and data-access controls.
• Maintaining traceability, defects, evidence and reporting.
• Supporting UAT, deployments and test closure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test strategy, plan, scenarios, and data with clear criteria.
• Maintain traceable test suites linking requirements, tests and defects.
• Validate data layers: raw, staging, curated, dimension and fact.
• Test source-to-target mappings, data history and grain.
• Validate SSAS cube, partitions and processing workflows.
• Reconcile Power BI KPIs with SQL results and verify visuals.
• Perform security and access testing across databases and reports.
• Execute end-to-end integration from source to Power BI.
• Log defects with steps, severity and evidence; verify fixes.
