Job summary

Fortis Industries, Inc. DBA - LTS, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to validate the functionality, reliability, security, and performance of a federal client’s systems.

You will design, execute, and automate tests across features and deployments, coordinating with DevSecOps, developers, and business teams to ensure production readiness. The role emphasizes Playwright-based UI automation, API testing, CI/CD integration, and adherence to quality standards within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or application development for enterprise systems.
• At least two (2) years of experience providing quality assurance and testing support for AWS-based workloads.
• Demonstrated experience performing manual and automated testing, including defect documentation and regression testing.
• Strong experience developing test automation using Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript, along with API testing, Swagger, and Postman.
• Experience designing, maintaining, and integrating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions with AWS services such as Systems Manager and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency testing applications and workloads built with AWS services and technologies, including Vue.js, Python, Django, and Amazon S3.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while collaborating with, mentoring, and supporting team members to resolve complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using relevant testing frameworks.
• Design and implement UI automation using Playwright.
• Lead test automation initiatives, including CI/CD integration and DevSecOps processes.
• Conduct manual testing of features and perform regression testing.
• Create and organize testing suites in TestRails or similar tools.
• Periodically run full manual test suites to ensure quality.
• Peer review test automation code to promote quality and best practices.
• Communicate test results, defects, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders during releases.
