Job summary

Zero Hash is seeking a QA Engineer to own test planning, functional and exploratory testing, and UAT across the product stack. You will work with engineers and SDETs to shape testing practices as the system scales, with visibility into every product area and a direct line to release quality.

You will design test cases for API/SDK flows, contribute to automation, perform regression testing before releases, and help formalize distributed UAT across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA or test engineering in fintech or API-driven environments.
• Strong QA process knowledge across all SDLC phases.
• Experience testing REST/JSON APIs and reading specs.
• Experience with BDD-style scenarios.
• Proficient in automated tests using Playwright or Selenium.
• Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language.
• SQL knowledge for data verification.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for planning and tracking.
• Clear, detailed bug reports and test plans.

Responsibilities

• Test coverage: design, document, and execute functional and exploratory test cases for API- and SDK-based product flows.
• Automation testing: pick up automation work on an ad hoc or on-demand basis, addressing automation tech debt and gaps.
• Cross-functional planning: translate acceptance criteria into test scenarios with product managers and developers.
• Release quality: own regression testing ahead of each release and support release-readiness.
• UAT: help formalize and run User Acceptance Testing across product and engineering.
• Defect management: log, triage, and track defects with clear repro steps and expected-vs-actual details.
