Qualifications

• API Testing involves designing and executing tests for REST/SOAP endpoints.
• SQL validation of backend data and ETL data flows.
• Batch/ETL testing of scheduled jobs and data processing pipelines.
• Familiar with tools like Postman, Swagger, SoapUI and Rest Assured.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and defect-tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases for REST/SOAP APIs.
• Validate request/response payloads, status codes, authentication, and business rules.
• Perform integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of APIs.
• Use tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, and Rest Assured.
• Validate backend data accuracy and integrity using SQL queries.
• Test stored procedures, functions, views, and database validations.
• Verify data consistency across applications and databases.
• Perform source-to-target data validation for ETL processes.
• Validate batch jobs, ETL workflows, and data processing pipelines.
• Monitor job execution, logs, exception handling, and recovery processes.
• Test workflows using Control-M, Autosys, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory.
