Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a QA Engineer to support quality control programs across manufacturing, customer sites, and supplier facilities. You will translate customer specs into product criteria and create control plans to ensure quality.

You will coordinate inbound and production checks, support supplier audits, drive root-cause actions, and analyze data to inform leadership about process improvements. The role emphasizes collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA in a relevant field with 0–2 years QA experience.
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma methods.
  • Experience in a quality control department.
  • Understanding of product/process flow.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Job description

Role Summary

As a QA Engineer, you will support the development, implementation, and running of quality control programs and procedures. This position involves translating customer specifications and industry standards into product/process criteria and creating control plans to achieve those requirements. You’ll also address day‑to‑day issues with production quality within the manufacturing plant, at customer sites, and supplier facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with production to plan and execute inbound and production checks
  • Manage relations with customers or third‑party inspectors
  • Participate in external supplier quality testing and audits
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events
  • Monitor product portfolio KPIs and drive effective root‑cause corrective actions where appropriate to address gaps to agreed targets
  • Manage customer witness inspections
  • Maintain and analyze data to provide information or identify problems for management and stakeholders on the state of a process or product quality
  • Create awareness in the Leadership community regarding what opportunities have been discovered or developed and how to realize them
  • Collaborate with the department or other company departments to clarify/resolve issues technique related to QC activities
  • Offer all documents as per QAP to customer after coordinating with internal departments and closing all documentation queries
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • BS or BA Degree in a relevant field and/or 0–2 years relevant experience
  • Experience in engineering and utilization of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies
  • Experience in a quality control department
  • Understanding of product/process flow
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills / Experience
  • Previous QA experience
