Job summary

Major Investment Firm in a hybrid Newark environment seeks a Quality Engineer with a strong background in test automation, API testing, and modern QA practices to join its technology organization. You will help build scalable automation and improve software quality across enterprise platforms.

This role partners with Product Owners and developers to ensure requirements are testable, develops automation frameworks, and integrates testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of Quality Engineering / Software Testing experience.
• Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Java, Playwright, and REST API Automation.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications.
• Strong SQL skills and experience validating backend data.
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence in Agile environments.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Cucumber, Java, and Playwright.
• Build and maintain reusable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing.
• Perform smoke, functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop quality management plans and sprint/release test strategies.
• Partner with Product Owners and Developers to ensure testability of requirements.
• Create and maintain test cases, traceability matrices, defects, and QA docs.
• Lead defect triage sessions and collaborate on issue resolutions.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Participate in non-functional testing including performance, security, accessibility.
• Continuously improve QA processes and automation coverage.

We’re seeking a Quality Engineer with a strong background in test automation, API testing, and modern QA practices to join a high-performing technology organization at a major investment firm. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building scalable automation frameworks, improving software quality, and collaborating closely with Agile development teams throughout the SDLC.

You’ll play a key role in developing automated testing solutions, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, validating cloud-based applications, and ensuring high-quality software releases across enterprise platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing

Required Qualifications
